Understanding the Business of makeup

I feel there is often limited information for makeup artists starting out on their career pathway. Each persons pathway is varied and sometimes people give up on their dream of finding a way into their career choice and yet with planning, determination and hard work it is very achievable.

I am always busy with 1-1 Guidance for Makeup Artists starting out, it is popular as a service and it is a good feeling to offer this as it usually opens up a clearer pathway for the individual by identifying areas they hadn't even thought of.

I am launching more of the Creative Hub programmes at the JT makeup Studio this month. This starts with a selection of mentoring 1-1 courses plus the 2 Day Business of Makeup Course that focus on the business side of makeup. These courses are helpful to anyone wanting to change direction, rethink their career or simply learn some solid business planning backed up by a selection of planning sheets. The Business of Makeup - 2 Day Course at the JT Makeup Studio on Tues 20/8/19 & Wed 21/8/19. This is an intensive two days of planning, role play, seminar learning, brand awareness & researching. The cost of this course is £200.00

1-1 Mentoring - Personal Career Development

This is a personal plan devised to identify a career pathway & helping you to decide on a personal brand style to reflect your business. Using questionnaires and planning sheets we discuss your career and identify strengths/weakness then forming a plan to work towards your goals.

This session is over a 3 hour period & costs £150.00.

The Power of Research for Makeup Artists - 3 Hour session at the JT Makeup Studio

Learn how to research, identify key trends and influences plus planning artistic mood and makeup design boards. This is a greatly to prepare for interviews and presentations. The cost of this is £150.00

Starting Out in Industry E Book - available online on Fri 12/7/19

This is an E Book full of information for all makeup artists just starting their makeup career. It identifies career pathways, guidelines, training, supportive groups, makeup discounts and social media guidelines. This is a very useful tool to have and costs £20.00
